Welcome to Huis Nuweland
Our popular and intimate Retirement Home is situated in the beautiful and leafy suburb of Upper Claremont. We can host around 80 residents and offer Independent Living, Limited Care, and Special Health Services; the latter in our 24/7/365 Care Centre.
Huis Nuweland functions as a programme (and under the stewardship) of Badisa. Badisa is the welfare arm of the Dutch Reformed Church and the Uniting Reformed Church. Therefore, Christian compassion is the ethos subscribed to and it forms the backbone of the organisation. Huis Nuweland therefore, accordingly, welcomes all potential residents to our facility, irrespective of your religious persuasion, denomination, orientation or race.

Our Accommodation
Huis Nuweland is an intimate home for all retirees (individuals and/or couples) and we are situated in one of the most beautiful, safe and leafy areas in the southern suburbs: Upper Claremont. The mountain views from our Home and/or from the streets when we stroll around the block, is quite simply, spectacular! Our infrastructure is well looked after and cared from, all from our own Reserves, Maintenance Fund & Donations.

As a musician, I love the fact that we can easily get a choir together to sing at a special event. In our big hall (next to the dining room) and in the sunroom in our Care Centre, we have pianos that are available to use. Believe me, there are talented singers here!
