COVID-19 News

To our residents, families, friends, staff and the broader Huis Nuweland community, we say #STAYSAFE… follow the rules and live life to the full! We’ve seen that Covid infections raise their heads from time to time, but we are all vaccinated and we’ve learned how to handle these outbreaks. We’ve also learned how to live with the virus. We try our utmost to live as ‘normally’ as possible.

Even during lockdowns, our residents still go on their daily walks. We still take them for scheduled drives to just get out.

We allow incoming and outgoing visits to continue, even when there are a few infections in the Home.
Unless there is a catastrophic break-out of Covid infections, we isolate the positive cases for 7 days (in general) and life around them continues as per normal. We do adhere to all health legislation and regulations and honour all applicable health and safety protocols too.
